A Brandywine Christmas will be on display at the Brandywine River Museum from November 27th through January 3rd. Displays include trees featuring critter ornaments and decorations handcrafted by volunteers using natural materials, a Victorian dollhouse, rare antique dolls dressed in period clothing, and one of the largest O-gauge model railroad displays in the country. The museum offers a variety of special events and programs throughout the Brandywine Christmas Celebration including the very popular Breakfast with the Trains. During this before-hours, behind-the-scenes visit with the Brandywine River Museum of Art Railroad you will discover how the layout of one of the world’s largest O-Guage model train displays, with almost 2,000 feet of track, is created and what it takes to keep everything running. These private tours even include special activities for the youngest train fans, children 3 and older are welcome when accompanied by and adult, and a continental breakfast in the museum’s cafe.
